Serbia gets EU equipment to fight illegal immigration

Bozovic thanked for the donation and said he was persuaded that it would help improve the activity of border controls. Recently, he added, 50 additional police officers from several EU countries were deployed at the border with Bulgaria to tighten security. According to data released by Serbia’s national immigration commissioner, the number of people who have crossed into the country from Bulgaria has doubled since mid-May.The new technical equipment includes, among others, powerful binoculars, special cameras, helmets and shields. 

Austria sends tents, blankets for 300 people to Bosnia Austria 

has sent tents and blankets to Bosnia-Herzegovina, which has registered a growing number of immigrants over the last few months. Serbian news agency Tanjug reported that the aid will be sufficient for 300 migrants.A reported 8,000 migrants and refugees have reached Bosnia-Herzegovina since the start of the years, including 685 who have applied for asylum.
