Love-all! Wimbledon begins tomorrow, with the biggest stars in tennis competing at the greatest tournament in the world.
But – even in the singles – behind every great player is their all-important partner.

Jackson Wade, 26
Britain’s best hope in the tournament, 28-year-old Johanna Konta, has been with movie producer Jackson for two years, since he was hired by the Lawn tennis association as a video and photo manager, and they first clapped eyes on each other.
Jackson is from Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham, and has a first-class degree in digital film-making and also runs his own company 90secondstory, making promo films for businesses.
Jelena Djokovic, 33
World number one Novak Djokovic, 32, has been married to school sweetheart Jelena since 2014 – although they almost hit break point.
She has 450,000 instagram followers and her posts show a life of family bliss.
But back in 2017, there were rumours Novak – Wimbledon’s reigning men’s singles champ – had had affairs.
Jelena leads the couple’s charity, the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which aims to help Serbian kids by improving education.
Mirka Federer, 41
Former tennis pro Mirka met Roger Federer, 37, at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 as tennis’s golden couple and married nine years later.
Roger and Mirka have two sets of twins – ten-year-old girls and five-year-old boys.
Since retiring from tennis in 2002 after a foot injury, Slovakia-born Mirka has run her husband’s Pr team.
it seems the couple who play tennis together, stay together, as Roger has admitted he can’t sleep without his wife by his side.
Kelsey O’Neal, 32
Kevin Anderson fell for Kelsey at university and they have been married for eight years.
An accounting graduate, she gave up her career to support her South African husband – by doing all his boring paperwork and booking his flights.
Kelsey and Kevin, 33, live in Florida, and she’s more into playing golf than tennis. Her blog, tour wife tales, gives a behind-the-scenes look into the glamorous world of tennis.
Xisca Perello, 30
Fiercely independent Spanish beauty Xisca has been dating Rafael Nadal, 33, since 2005. They lead a quiet life in Manacor, Mallorca, and are rumoured to have got engaged in January.
Insurance worker Xisca is employed by his charity but shuns social media and often gives his games a miss, saying: “Just the idea of hanging around waiting on his needs all day tires me out.”
Alexis Ohanian, 36
Social media genius Alexis wed tennis champ Serena Williams in 2017 – guests included Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian .
Alexis and Serena, 37, were also at Prince Harry ’s wedding.
They have a daughter, Alexis Jr, who is nearly two.
Best known for co-founding social news website Reddit, Alexis is worth £7million, compared to Serena’s £120million.
The pair met at a hotel poolside in Rome in 2015.
“I felt like a door had been opened to a person who made me want to be my best self,” says Alexis.
Garry Kissick, 28
Called “the most normal couple in tennis,” Australia’s world No1 Ashleigh Barty, 23, met boyfriend Garry at a golf club three years ago.
Ashleigh says golf pro Garry helped her game – pals say he’s her ball boy, adding: “He encourages her by passing on cricket scores or cracking jokes.”
The loved-up pair call each other “handsome boy” and “baby” and share a home in Brisbane with four dogs.
Garry’s a Liverpool FC fan but his Instagram account is full of gushing posts about Ashleigh.
Michal Hrdlicka, 30
TV star Michal wed Czech ace Karolina Plíšková, 27, in Monte Carlo, where they live, last July.
The pair met in a nightclub in 2015 when Michal asked for a picture with the former world No1… then her telephone number.
Michal was a star on Czechoslovakia’s top TV channel Nova, but then became her agent.
He surprised her with a proposal at home soon after Wimbledon 2017 and says she is his “soulmate”.
Lana Gerck, 31
German hope Alexander “Sascha” Zverev, 22, began courting model Lana after being paired with her in a celebrity tennis match.
He’d just split up with Russian junior player Olga Sharypova in April and his game was suffering.
Lana – nine years older than Sascha – was catapulted to fame after winning Germany’s Next Top Model in 2006.
She is now a popular TV presenter with 2.3million social media followers.
She was discovered after winning a casting call for fast food chain Burger King.
